Hello, i'm new into the car world, my Nissan Altima Coupe is my first car, and i've heard a lot of friends talk about installing intake to their cars, i've hear this before but I have no idea what's that.. Will somebody tell me what the intake is for? What it does and should I do it to my car? Any replies.. thank you!

Hmmm, it all depends on what they are reffering to. A "cold air intake" is pretty much replaces your air filter. It gives better air flow to your gas/air mixture so basically it will give you more HPs (Horse Power). This is one of the cheaper routes to go to increase your HP past a normal stock car although the gains are not great maybe 5-10 max. If you look on the parts forum page you can see some from different companies. Just think of this as a very good air filter, lol.

The real thing you need to research is if a "Cold air intake" is better than a "Short air intake" for the coupe. Keep this in mind, if you ever plan on getting a turbo for your vehicle it is pointless to buy either because the turbo will replace both.

I hope this helped in answering your question.
