When my car was wrecked, someone stole my Injen intake. Took my MAF, everything. So, I still had my stock piping. Put that on, got the MAF off a wrecked '95 locally, so its all good. Well I get a call from a detective that said he thinks he found my intake. I said uh, how did you even know to look for it? I hadn't filled out a police report or anything, because the Nissan Collision Center where my car was at said they were going to try to get me another one. Fat chance I thought, so I have left it alone. I just lost an intake, bad luck. But some anonymous person called this detective and gave him some info about my intake. He calls me, I go down today, and he walked in with it. Of course the thing is scratched up, filter bent, my original MAF and other sensors weren't with it, etc. But at least I got it back. The detective goes on to tell me that the person that stole it thought it would work on his Honda. When he found out that it didn't, he traded this other guy w/ a honda for some other parts, because this other guy that maybe it would work on HIS honda. Of course it didn't, so it was in this guys backseat. I have come to the conclusion yet again that I HATE STUPID PEOPLE. STUPID LAZY BASTERDS TRY TO TAKE OTHER PEOPLES CRAP AND LOOK WHAT HAPPENS! ONE OF THEM IS IN JAIL, AND THE OTHER ONE WASTED HIS TIME!!!!! Makes me very very angry!!!!!!!!

But anyway, thought I would share that.

LOL! That's typical Honda rice boy for ya... Don't get me wrong some are pretty knowledgable when it comes to cars but most are stupid in general.

actually, we made a sohc short ram intake (part of it) to fit a 91 acura integra for a cold air intake set-up. It can be done, just takes some creativity, a hacksaw, and some rubber couplings.

Thats funny. Congrats on getting your intake back.

They could have used the filter though, and made one froma mandrel bent pipe. (heh, I used to own a Honda)

Time to press charges for the full replacement value of the intake + MAF + sensors + the amount you had to pay for the replacement intake you had to purchase.

I might as well press charges, its beat to hell and i still need my sensors, even though I got another MAF already. And he isn't in jail just over my intake, he stole some other stuff as well (not off my car).

yah even though it was just an intake, if you're 18 and you steal, that's potential jail time, and if he had simultaneously stolen other goods, or stolen other things in the past, that's guaran-damn-teed jail time. sucks for him, that riceboy mentality.

People make mistakes, but why would they keep making the same mistakes over and over if they know that there is a chance to get caught? If they are stealing, they need to know the consequences.

Jail = short termPrison = long term

A lot of people go to jail and they don't turn into psychos when they get out. I don't see what the big deal about it is.

I would if I had the cash and the knowledge :D

I would love to do an auto to man swap because for an 89 my car is really clean and I think that has a lot to do with the fact that it is an auto

Dont do it. If you luck is even remotely bad, your swap will be dome incorrectly, causing your clutch to do wrong things.

Yes, I am bitter.
