Hey everyone I was wondering if there is any harm in removing the plastic piece/splash guard that sits in front of the air filter. I'm running a stillen popcharger. Thanks in advance everyone and any advice is appreciated.

Most people don't remove that because of the water risk. Some people go even further than running the splash guard and cut out a plastic flowerpot to shield the front of the intake filter, like this:

Ive been running without that plastic shield for over 2 years now and I have seen 0 problems, I noticed a little extra pickup after I took it off, could just be in my mind tho, the spoolup was definitely louder.
The only downside is you'll have to clean your filter more often haha and when you do use a good oil, I just use the K&N oil, works great!
Cheers!
