No I'm not. Underneath the battery is an empty area. That's what I'm asking aboutscrymilkman34 wrote:your probably referring to the short ram air intake
I don't even mind small holes to allow air through. But it seems like a good idea for a ram air intake location.jltibbs wrote:I had thought about doing this same mod, but had the same question you do. There is a flat metal plate there that seems useless, but I was not sure of the integrity of it minus a 3.25" hole.
Sadly enough, Cattman has stopped production on these intakes. tigersharkdude's setup is nice and very similar to the Cattman. At first glance in person, I thought it was a Cattman. +1 tigersharkdude.lightsout wrote:http://www.cattman.com has an intake kit that puts the filter in front of the driver tire, and behind the fog light!

I remedied that by cutting a port in the quarter panel and running backwards fins(like old skool mustang) on the port to chanel air through an aluminum 5 inch air duct (from ace hardware) right up to the mouth of the intake. After about 30 miles an hour nothing but cooler outside air rushes in. I would have to say I maintain 10 plus h.p. Even through heat soak. Worked like a carm.
if Cattman doesn't make or sell them anymore, then who does...and i remember them having a carb#jltibbs wrote:
