Welcome to NICO!

There are a few options. WAI (Warm Air Intake), sometimes known as a short ram intake. It replaces the sir filter box and the intake pipe. CAI (Cold Air Intake), which relocates the air filter into the fender, but in most cases, it only relocates it to behind the radiator. Couple of different companies, so a little searching will go a long way.

i went with Injen Technology, and love it. I had a short ram intake from Stillen before, but got pulled over...and the cop gave me a verbal warning and told me to change it for something with CARB certification...so i did.

as for exhaust...i've got Stillen under my trunk floor! it's smooth, and sounds more like a 350Z/Z33 with dual

The stillen exhaust does sound pretty good. There is a what exhaust system do you have thread on here, give that a read and see what you want to do.

I asked on another thread about this CAI.I have an I35 also, any issues or was it a straight forward install?

Also, I fell in love with the exhaust note on my Gcoupe! Is there anything for the I35/Maxima that sounds as refined? I don't want ricey glass pack with backfire sound that I have heard from some of the clips that i have seen on the net. Any input?

It was a pretty easy install. It took longer taking the old stuff off that installing the new one. It quiet on normal driving and sounds great when you get on it. My next project is putting an exhaust on it also.
