Check out some websites that sell perfomance products for Z's. Go to the manufactures website of what ever product you are interested in, they should have a dyno sheet of before and after their product was installed.

Example, i was looking to either go with a 5/16 plenum spacer, or just a plenum. I wanted the Kinetix SSV intake manifol but didn't want to spend $900 right then. Kinetix Racing also has a plenum upgrade: V+ Plenum. Its made of composite plastic = less heat conductivity, and weight reduction. It is rated at +14rwhp from stock and runs about $300. so i thought weight reduction, cooler air, more power, $300 later shizaam.....

Jeffy, the thread link that evildky posted, scroll to the bottom where i posted the numbers from the plenum (14rwhp). That is the average rating of this plenum added to the STOCK 350Z. I don't know what power i am making as far as dyno, but with what i've got i would guess anywhere from 260 - 295 wheel power..... Stock is ~237 wheel..... see i added the numbers of what is graphed buy each of the manufactures of what i have, and going by the highs and lows of those numbers, i got 275 - 295, but i also figure i don't want to make my car sound faster than it is so i say 260 - 295 wheel. In that range is my hypothesis. My friends that have driven my car say its night & day from what it was. I did all of those mods at once this winter. My suggestion is to go without the throttle body spacer, its kind of a pain to deal with, i had to fab the intake tube and a bolt for the spacer plus its about $100 after shipping.

P.S.The top of the plenum you'll purchase is all black, i hand painted mine red with model car paint then exact-o knifed the slop around it when it dried.

I cannot seem to quickly locate the intake spacers for the '07+. Has anyone found out if there are spacers for the newer Z's?

Additionally, I need to find an intake spacer that does not require replacement of the strut tower bar or spacers for the strut tower bar as the Nismo radiator bracing will most likely have to be removed. I do not want to lose the radiator bracing as it helps in canyon driving!

I can't help you there.... good luck. Try horsepowerfreaks.com and if they have something, then look for it somewhere else cuz HPF is expensive.

I have found out in other forums and on my own that the new VQ35HR engine will not need the plenum spacers as nissan corrected this issue with the new engine.

I am done with the mods! I have the Nismo CAI and I am getting the ECM reflashed tomorrow...

hi i have a intake spacer for my 350z.. just to give you a heads up you might need a angled spacer due to the thickness of the kind of space you have from the bar. Z1 motorsports makes a angled space and it makes the car sound nice with a CAI.

Im thinking about getting a spacer in the near future and was wondering is there a spacer that people seem to preffer over the others? Also does any one yeild a higher horspower increas than others. The last thing i was wondering for those who have installed them in there Z's what does it do for the sound of the engine....does it make it more agressive sounding or is it not much of a difference?
