Intake Sensor Not Sure About?

Information on the naturally-aspirated KA24E and KA24DE engines.

I own a 1989 240sx with a KA24E.And i have just replaced the intake filter,and have taken out the airbox.I put the MAF sensor onto the intake so that is running well but i am curious what the other sensor on the airbox is.There is a small sensor that im just not sure wat it is.Any help is appreciated.
