does any one know the process in actually removing the intake manifold form the engine?

i lossend the 10 blots form upper main. to head, and the 5 form lower main. to upper main. but i cant get the upper mani. off.

any suggestions?

theres about 6 bolts holding the lower mani to the engine via two braces. one of the bolts is behind the altinator and a little hard to get to

The fsm says to take out the studs, i did it the hard way.. If you remove the studs it would be sooo much easier.

You cant take the intake manifold off as a whole without taking the studs out. You need to separate the plenum from the runners, get the plenum off, then pull the runners.

I think pulling the motor is actually the easiest way to pull the intake...

i was reading about some brackets the hold the plenum to the block, one by the oil filter and one by the altenator?

can any one confirm this?

Lol dude... They are there..... Why didnt you just look for yourself?

Theres three bolts attaching them to the intake, and three bolts on the block connecting the brackets to the motor. You can just get under the car, and unblock them from the block.

easiest way. lift up your motor, you'll have more room to work around.

manifold is off. now i have a load of lines that i need to sort out for the obd2. pics tomorrow.. damm car
