intake question

ok, im pretty set on getting the AEM short ram, considering it costs less then the injen, and thats without the CAI extension, my plan is to make.buy a heat shield for the cone of the intake and run a hose or tube of some kind down to the bumper or thereabout, i did search, but most everything under heatshield is about the one the headers, thanks, matt

So you are wanting to know how to make a heatshield? If you want to buy one then: http://www.titanmotorsports.com/inracdivingt1.html But that is friggin expensive for the next to nothing that it is. If you wanted to make your own you'd have to take a square piece of metal, bend it then take a circle shaped piece cut a hole in the center and then weld the 2 together then weld then connect em up to that intake. It won't look half as good as that one though, but then again whose gonna see it way down there?
