I recently bought a K&N filter and a cheap *** generic adapter from ebay... the adapter is just a peice of metal with a hole in it... the problem with this is that the ka24e has a temperature sensor (which will make the car shut down after starting if it is not attactched), and an air tube. The adapter has no place to put these two..... so guys... what should i do?? i'm thinking about getting the real adapter from k&N, how much will this cost?? and does k&n sell the adapter by itself? or will i have to get it in a combo? any suggestions and answers will help. thanks

Attach it to the outside of the filter or just drill a hole and scew it in the side. All it does is sense air temperature so it doesn't really matter where it goes as long as it's kept clean.

And by the way, that air tube is going to the AIV and isn't necessary. You could either remove the whole assembly and seal the opening in the exhaust (search for AIV removal and you should find a lot of stuff on that) or you could buy a small little air filter from autozone or the like that you can attach to the end of the tube to keep dirt from messing with the AIV. Hope this helps
