intake problem

i have a 1996 nissan 200sx and ijust changed out the air box for a K&N filter and now that i have reconected allthe sensors it will start but the engine cuts out at 2500 rpm's and putters between 2000 and 3000 rpm's i need some help

check engine light on?check maf plug and harness... be careful! if any of harness wires are rubbing metal they could wear through the insulation, short, and destroy your whole engine harness... we have a vr6 jetta in our shop right now for just such a reason, quick cone filter install, and the kid left the intake tube hang there un supported, the maf wire rubbed the strut tower and after awhile it shorted out and burned the harnes all the way through under the dash-pete
