I have only changed the stock air filter to the cone after market air filter....
However, i have a issue.....
after 4000rpm, it has no power and the rpm wont reach to to 7rpm at all....
it would just stay around 4200 - 4500 rpm the whole time and than i have to change gears....
i was wondering about resetting the ecu or.... just go back to the stock air filter....
help!
thanks!

Possible MAF problem, but seems a little high for that. There is a sensor (forgot which one) that most intakes dont have a place for. So when you removed it from the stock unit, but didnt put it in the new intake, that may be a problem. Someone else should chime in with their input

On my 95 Maxima I had that extra sensor that I read the temperature of the air coming in. I had to drill into my new air filter and attach it so it would read correctly.

Exactly. There is a sensor that is connected to the snorkel that has nowhere to go when you remove the snorkel

The filter I bought had a quarter size area in the middle of it where i could mount it luckily. I eventually went back to the stock box with the frankencar intake setup and a k/n filter.
