intake problem

i installed the intake fine seems to be working great but when i give it full throttle the rpms only go up to 4000 vs. when i had no intake you slammed the gas and the rpms went to edline and stayed there

did you disconnect the negative end of the battery before you started installing it?

most likely not considering we didnt use the instructions what exactly would that do
