Intake piping

As I was cleaning my throttle bodies today, I noticed there was just as much gunk in the black piping that leads to the TB's. Is there a recommended way to clean these up? The throttle body cleaner is probably too strong for the plastic.

i just used simple green,then washed them in the sink.all that kinda stuff is painted in my car like the outside and interior.:ylsuper

you have parts under the hood that are painted? let's see pics.

i havnt taken pics of under hood yet,have to hook up with friend that has digital camera.we painted all piping fuse lid,big plastic piece in front of radiator.im going to paint the front engine covers too.but,you have to take off water pump.i didnt want to chance a leak.i will do it wene i change the timing belt.and i will put new waterpump on.:D
