intake maniforld for 1989 240sx clogged@ egr valve opening

1989 240sx will not pass ny state emmisions high nox readings garage says that intake manifold must be clogged inside where egr valve connects into it. there is no vaccuum in intake manifold port when car is running. can anybody help?

If there is no vacuum--do you have the timing right? take the egr vavle off and see if is plugged (not normal) is the valve functional?

no vac, check the vac line from the bpt to the egr. if the egr itself is clogged, then you'll need to pull it and clean the deposits out.
