What intake manifolds are a lot of you running ? In pics i have seen tons of people with custom ones, i am interested in sourcing a front facing one. I once saw someone did a rb26 intake mani on a rb20, said it was a nightmare i will see if i can find link, since someone sent it to me...

I will be having one made custom for my RB20 this spring. Using mine as a test we will be able to make more in the future. Email me if you want more details.

Well you obviously have your answer already... Either they run the stocker, the greddy, or a custom plenum. And I am plenty sure everyone has left their comments for each plenum. If you ask me, asking already answered questions qualifies you as a troll.

greddy is only Rb25,26. they never made one for the RB20.

From your search (guy who started to topic) Top hat has one that just replaces the top half of the intake manifold. Wasibi DIY kit is prob the way to go if you can get someone to fab it up good. Don't buy that Ebay manifold from Thiland it's really crap on the inside. Ohh almost forgot RIPS intake manifold. That one looks good but no Velocity stacks on the inside.

i was looking for recent responses, which i got (thnx 4g63, i never knew that top hat made upper halves), i already knew the choices, but someone who ran the a manifold could have problems now, they didnt have when first stated. thats why i made a new more recent topic

rob at rips is making a manifold for me as we speak, and the pics of it so far look fantastic.i dont think you really need velocity stacks in a forced induction motor, isnt it more of an na type deal?anyways the rips manifold has "trumpets" where the manifold meets the plenum, i suppose that the effect is to that of velocity stacks on an na car.....if i could figure out how to post pics here i would.

The Greddy intake mani for the rb25,26 fits the rb20, they have the same bolt pattern.

(from my research)

I believe: intake manifold for the 25, 26 and 20 are different. the port and water galleries are offset.

Buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz wrong. I can tell you that the greddy won't fit the RB20 because I tried to put my friends onto my spare RB motor and the bolt pattern is diffrent at #4 and 5 I think I can't rem it's been a while. But it dosen't bolt up. The port size on the RB25 are also larger than the RB20 buy more than enough that you would have to port the hell out of the head to make that manifold flow right on the head.

I was looking on ebay and I seen a bunch of intakes that you can make yourself. I wouldn't recommend it if you don't have a welder and don't have the fab skills.... but I bet it would be really sweet. I was thinking chop the flange off the old intake with about 2 inches left on the runners and weldin up a custom plentum ... sounds scary though I don't think I got the balls to cut my intake up.

i wanna see his kit also, well tophat makes their manifold for 400, but its just an upper halve, and it still needs a tb flange welded on, i can get the greddy one which changes the lower and upper for 700, might be worth it to wait, or at least see rips manifold

Do you have to change the fuel rail when doing the greddy swap? SInce the 20/25 are side feed injectors?

I thought 20's and 26's were top feed, and the 25's were side feed?
