Hey all, anyone use seafoam on their G yet in here ? I've used it once before on a Grand AM I used to have and it worked really well. I need to find a vacuum line on the intake manifold I can use to do the cleaning treatment though.

My car has about 54K on the OD right now and I figured it wouldn't hurt to clean some of the cuild up out. A group of friends are doing it to their cars this Saturday and I thought I'd join them but I haven't looked into it too much as to where the intake vacuum lines are. Do you have to remove the large cover over the engine to get to any or are there some accessible without removing it ?

At 54k, I don't think Seafoam is necessary...maybe at 100k.

Any techs know which line he can use?

I've only seen it sucked/poured into the brake booster vacume line. You need someone to keep the motor started too while someone else puts the seafoam in.

But it is not necessary unless you have been running some bad gas or something like that.

If you remove the top cover there will be a smal plugged vac line on the passenger side of te plenum right at the front. Well there is on my 06.

I dont think you will need to clean yer engine at 50k Ive got 14k on mine and had a good look at the valves when i had the plenum off there was some scale on there but nothing to worry about.
