I ve seen a few hb with a 240 intake manifold and was wondering if a ca18 intake manifold would fit on a ka24 as well. granted the block on a hb and 240 are the same, but a friend has one layin around and is giving it to me so i just wanna know that it would fit for sure before i start to take everything apart.

I doubt the flange is the same. I would be suprised, though, if it was.

I guess you might be able to weld the CA manifold to the KA flange if they lined up right, that could possibly work.

They made alot of single cam 240's, around 126,000 of them I think; so there might be some manifolds still out there. Maybe you could just trade the CA manifold for one of those. Good luck!

Yes, there is. It's not the end of the world, but it is more "hot" that the truck manifold. You would probably get 4~6 more hp with a 240sx manifold swap.

i didnt know there was that much of a difference. i just wanna swap it out to get rid of that big a** throttle and air filter. it make the engine look crowded and on top of that a 240 manifold make it look so clean!!!

SOHC 240 intake manifolds do look good, I will say that. And when compared to the truck version it's easier to clamp a silicone turbo or cold air intake (CAI) connector to, too.

Did the 240 MAF sensor plug right into the truck harness or did you use the 240 ECU as well? I have been wondering about this, you know, since the truck has the MAF integrated into the throttle body. Even if you did the manifold swap, are the stock MAF wires even long enough to reach where they need to go?

Another thing about the truck MAF is that only a fraction of the incoming air passes over it, contrary to a "normal" MAF. Does a "normal" style MAF put out the same signals?
