wow, how black are #3 and #4 plugs. That manifold is a terrible design.

dont worry. im making them, not at this moment but i definately will. i can make it out of any plenum you want. D shaped. 4x4 square, oval, pipe. the supra guys want me to copy the veilside manifold on the TS supra at the shop. so i will definately be getting into them, have to hone my aluminum skills first though. sit tight, its going to be a busy winter for me..

Seen posts on sxoc of some austrailian? made units cracking also.A popular site online used to sell universal 'veilside looking' plenums for ~$250? Weld on your runners & add a TB.when would a stock intake manifold 'need' replacing... 7000+ rpm ?OE proven to make excellent street power & torque. You always here how big an improvement custom intakes made on soooo many motors -yet- never seen one single dyno overlaying the torque curves vs rpm... not even from folks who build/sell 'em. Why ?? hmmmm

I seen a lot of CAs making 4 large on the stock manifold. Lots of engines have less than good stock manifolds but evidence seems to suggest the CA is not one of them.

I agree on this soooo much! The stock manifold is more than up to the task to serve most of these guys on this forum's needs. It's kinda funny to see these guys wanting fancy equipment, yet end up selling their motors later for whatever reasons they may have. If some of these guys would pay attention to the advice being given, they would know the critical areas to focus on. Oh yeah folks, the intake manifold is not the one of those areas .

Looking inside my manifold it seems to be pretty well made. No crappy casting bits or anything. My only complaint is the number of things sticking into the plenum itself for bolts and stuff on the outside. The runners are smooth enough, and they kind of bell mouth out where they meet the plenum. Just with it looked more awesome.

oh believe me i have no complaints with the stock one. i just like the way it looks and its more roomy and cleaner looking.i WOULD NOT spend 500+ on a log or any aftermarket intake manifold. but if its cheap and custom made for under 200 and the moneys there then why not? if its made right, it isnt hurting anything. so until the moneys there, i will be sporting the stock manifold with no complaints, but i will be buying one thats easier to work on when i can . good info on this topic kids im proud of yall haha
