I wanted to gather some opinions on what you guys think about modifing the intake manifold as seen in the following link:

That 240sx is turbocharged, as you can see, but what I wanted to know is what you guys think about a manifold like that one on a stock 240sx. How do you think it'll behave? Loss of torque? Loss of HP? Signifigant high end power gain?

Thanks.

Good question 240fever. I'd like to add to that question and ask where can one get that mani.(short runner manifold) or is it custom only(yes I know the one he created is custom) . If so, how hard is it to make? TIA:confused:

short runner manifolds on n/a engines tend to favor high end gains.

shanglin, by "custom short runner intake manifold" i think it means he had a shop fab what looks like part of the stock one and just tig'd it to a tube, with the throttle body adapter

how exactly would someone adjust the throttle cable since the distance from the firewall would be significantly shorter?

that dosn't mater, it's all in how you route the cable and if the distance from the 'mount' to the butterfly is the same there is nothing to worry about.
