I'm trying to see if there are any guide on here about removing the intake manifold because my friend said there was one. After about 30 mins of search I only found the one started by JT15833. It was helpful but not enough info. Is there another? Is there something I should look out for? Tips? Please point me to the right direction, thanks much appreciated.

lol its weird that im actually in the process of removing it. but with it snowing outside and my car not being and my house and it sitting outside, its kind of a problem lol. I would look into the FSM. its has a pretty good picture of what to remove to get it off.

I would go after the connection to the head to get the whole thing off and then finsh ripping it down on the floor. It's just a few hoses an 10 or less nuts and bolts. Drain the coolant so water doesn't drain from the outlet down into #1 ports. Why are you pulling it?

Actually after looking around some more I might not have to take off the manifold after all, silly me, I apologize. The injector o-ring is leaking and I need to replace it. After looking at it I thought I had to take the whole darn thing off, thank god I don't. Now what would be the smartest way to take the fuel rail off?

I'm not generally one for doing things the smart way, but I can give you a fast way to do it.

you'll want to remove the breather hoses from the valve covers to give you more room, pull the intake manifold wiring harness out of the way (make sure to label the plugs so you know which injector plug goes to which injector and stuff), and you might consider removing the valves on the inside of the intake manifold. Then you will need to remove the lines from the FPR (pull fuel pump fuse and run until it dies so you don't get gasoline everywhere). After that undo the three or four 10mm bolts holding the little black braces on the inside of the intake manifold, I think they may hold on the fuel rail (or maybe they just brace the upper and lower manifolds together?) but I don't know for sure and I can't go look at my car because I am on campus. Then it should be a pretty simple job of unbolting the fuel rail and yanking it out. The injectors should come out with the rail, or they might stay in the intake manifold, either way they are now exposed and you can do your dirty work.

Boo bam! Shouldn't take you more than an hour to do it all, so long as you have the o-rings already.

The reason why I wanted to take out my injector was because it's leaking. Now after working on it seems that the people who put the engine in forgot to screw in the last bolt on the back of the fuel rail. Will this cause the last injector to leak from not having enough pressure (only the last one is leaking). Or do you think the injector is bad in general. I already changed the o-ring and it's still leaking. Just need to find a 10mm bolt to screw it in.

if the olt holding the rail down is missing u probably will leak since the rail is not being equally held down to force the o rings to seal if the bolt is missing near the injector thats leaking i would say thats ur problem.. also sometime twisting the inject a lil will get the o ring to seat better stopping the leak.

quick question:

im putting on my NISMO FRP today, and if i remove the fuel rail, and the injectors, do i have to replace the o-rings, or can i still use the old ones if they are not ripped?

I have always re-used my injector o-rings. Its worked out well for me so far. If they look good just keep 'em.
