Intake Manifold removal...

Well, i need to change my knock sensor, soi decided i might as well remove the entire intake manifold and clean it completely because there is mud and dirt in it...(dont ask me how it got there, i dont know) and worthwhile mods while its off? ive heard of removing the secondary butterflys..?will i just need the 2 gaskets for the intake or are there more? are there any articles on removing it to kinda help me out a little bit? ive never removed an intake from a kade before....

do the holes in the intake NEED to be filled? the holes that are left by the secondary butterfly rod i mean...someone said use JB weld but i am worried that it would just get sucked out..
