Hey guys!

Im taking the intake mani off my vert right now and having a little trouble with one of the main bolts. Its the furthest lower one of the main ones. It seems to be blocked by something square shaped and not giving me much room to wrk with. If you know what im talkin about and can help me itd be great! Thank you!

if its the kade then remove the thingy bolted to the back of the upper intake and get a 12m wrench in there with your hand, its tricky but thats how i got to it

hmmm. I can't quite remember which one you are talking about, but I've taken my intake manifold off a couple times.

Find the FSM for your car, it should help quite a bit.

I recently had that problem and it was beyond a pain in the azz. I tried taking it off with sockets and a wrench before I finally got it off. it is way easier if the engine is out of the car. I would recommend that you try sticking your hand through the inside of the manifold from the front (throttle body area) and getting it with a wrench. thats how I got it eventually.

buy this: http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_1...ocket

You will thank me later. That tool saved me hours of head ache. I can get any of the bolts with that tool on the intake manifold with an extra long extension rod. I can now take off an intake in about 5 minutes with out an EGR, and 10 minutes with EGR, using the same tool to help take off the EGR.
