I'll start by saying this is on S13 blacktop Sr20det.

So I had a rip in one of the hoses under the intake manifold. It was leaking coolant all over the transmission. I took off the intake manifold and replaced it. While I had things apart I figured lets go ahead and replace the other hose that's next to it too.

I had to cut the old hose to get it of. I used just a standard straight hose from the auto store and now the hose is pinching when I mount the intake manifold up and I can't figure out why. I have tried shortening it, twisting it and even making it longer. Has anyone else had this problem? Are these hoses even really necessary? Do i need to somehow get the OEM hose? I dont even know how to find such a thing.

I found this image but, don't know if looping this hose would be bad or not.

Please Please someone help me. I am unable to drive the car right now and need it back on the road so i can get to work.

Your link is broken.

Which hose are you having problems with?

I was having trouble with the two small hoses on the left of your picture. The ones that got right under the intake manifold. The one on the top makes a hard angle and it kept pinching and then because of the pinch, would spill coolant out everywhere. I managed to get it this weekend. Put the hose on without tightening the clamp so the hose can twist correctly. Then after the intake manifold is on, I was able to take the fuel rail off and tighten it. This was all suggested from another forum. Thanks for the response though.
