So here's the deal...

I have a 2001 Nissan Pathfinder SE and it has the VQ35DE platform as we all know. They make no good power mods for this engine, however they do make some descent mods for the VQ35 platform that is in things like the Infiniti G35 and Nissan 350Z. I was thinking of endeavoring to switch the whole intake manifold and plenum with the one that is on the G35 or 350Z in order to get cool things like a larger throttle body and plenum spacer on there...

Bottom line is, does anyone out there know if this would work?

I appreciate the time.

Nick

Thanks Buzz.

I have researched the Kinetix Plenum's and they do not work with the stock manifold on the Pathy SE for 2001 or any other year for that matter. I guess more specifically, I was want to know:

Will the upper and lower plenum from say a G35 or 350Z work on the VQ35DE that is in the Pathy? Is that switch possible due to bolt pattern, intake manifold, and other little emissions hoses between the two setups?

If you ever have a sec, research the styles used in the 3.5 Pathy VS that used in the G35 and the 350Z. Same VQ35DE platform but some of the other power robbing and mod stopping differences are real head scratchers.

Let me know what you think.

Nick
