you can bypass the coolant lines that go to the throttle body.

The other lines off the heater hoses? Are you talking about from the adapters on the block/under the intake manifold? Pics.

on the throttle body/IACV there are heater hoses. DO NOT bypass them,

i had them both bypassed, the car ran like s***, put them back and it ran great.

the IACV needs the "heater hoses" to them, and will as you mentioned cause issues. I've never had issues with by passing the coolant lines going through the throttle body.

cold air is denser then warm air. and when air coming into the motor is going through a turbo that is hot then having to be cooled back down by an inter cooler why would you want it to get warmed back up again by hot coolant running through your throttle body.

the ones on the IACV do the same thing but for when the car is sitting at an idle.

anything you can do to cool down the air going into the engine the better.

now i have an idea. why not circulate co2 through the throttle body then have it end spraying on the enter cooler?

hmmm

that's sounds like a good ideA, is there a write up on bypassing the throttle bodie? Or how would I to about doing it, I get the idea but I wanna make sure I do it right, also the co2 idea seems geniouse u can prob hook up the systems that's spray the co2 into the inercooler and rig it to go thru the throttle body like u said

it easy just cut the hoses going to the throttle body and plug them using a bolt of the correct size and a small c clamp to hold the bolt in

you won't even need to block off those hoses on the throttle body itself as it's open on both ends and nothing is going in or out of it. To make it clean you can dremel off those hardlines on both sides.

The hoses itself just need to circulate, so just be creative.

And the comment about the coolant warming up the air, etc. is correct. (QFT).

yea , i actuly kept the iacv hooked up with the coolant lines running thru the iacv ... but the throttle body is bypassed , i just ran the lower hose from the throttle body to the upper n made it look nice n clean !!! just wanted 2 look around the engine couse i just got it like 2 weeks ago . waiting 2 finish the wiring harness , ran into a small issue with ground wires on dash connector , have thread up on it

i didnt realize how well the throttle body seals off. i was cleaning mine today. and it was holding the cleaning liquid with out a single drop leaking through. then i would open it and it would all go through

yea , that was the reason i pulled the intake in the 1st place ... throttle was lookin dirty soo i figure i clean out the intake with the throttle , as i pulled the intake off 2 lines hold u up from taking it off "IACV" hoses

I don't think there would be much more power from bypassing them.. Im from NJ too. Where is Galloway? Never even heard of it, lol.
