You should list your budget, your expectation(s), and plans on future upgrades if you want help making an more targeted decision. Otherwise you'll get people posting everything from a cheap $75 kit from eBay to an Arc Super Induction Box.

I'm willing to spend up to 300 on a kit. I was looking at K&N Intake Kit that was a little over 300.....I really want to increase the horsepower in my Z. After I get an intake I was looking to get a nismo s-tune exhaust....

You'll get better results from a plenum spacer. MotoDyne makes a nice 5/16" spacer that is under $300 and lets you keep the stock strut bar. Check it out.

Here is what you need to do.JWT pop charger (mostly for sound if you do the plenum)Save up and buy the Kinetix Velocity intake manifold (It works like crazy so don't believe the hype)TestpipesIf you plan on staying NA, Nismo sounds and performs great.Osiris retune. After these mods you will absolutely love the car.

I have dyno numbers to back the Kinetix. Save up and enjoy.

K&N is fine.

if you were really wanting to do an intake I'd go with either the injen or AEM system with a dry flow air filter...no oil on the filter so they are easier to clean

I do agree that the plenum spacer may be a good way to go. For under $300 you can get 10+ horsepower I think...

I can honestly say that you will love the nismo exhaust!! I have both that and the jwt popcharger and say it is the perfect combo. My next mod will def be the motordyne 5/16 plenum spacer.

I have the k&n intake and have no complaints and it sounds awesome. The JWT popcharger is a lot cheaper but remember you get what you pay for most of these parts.
