Alright so I just installed a Fujita CAI in my Versa and I have 2 main concerns:

First of all, there's a black tube that ran from the top of the transmission to the stock airbox. The directions never mentioned anything about that tube, but I'm concerned because right now it's not connected to the intake pipe. Basically, one end is connected to the transmission and the other is just laying around the engine bay. Anyone run into this problem?

Second of all, the vibration mount isn't connected correctly. I followed the directions but it seems as if I'm missing a nut to fasten the vibration mount onto the radiator support. It came with a washer and nut, which I used to connect the intake pipe to the vibration mount, but I had to use a makeshift nut that doesn't fit properly to connect the vibration mount to the radiator support. I can feel the intake vibrating when I put my foot on the gas or clutch. Anyone run into this problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I just installed a Fujita CAI last weekend, thank you Versaspeed for the super deal.

1.The black hose that seems to go nowhere is just a venting tube for the transmission. What is the transmission venting? I don't know, honestly I've never seen this sort of thing before. I did verify though that it was never connected to anything on the stock air box assembly. I simply tie wrapped it up into place on some other pre-existing hoses.

2.As for the issue with the vibration mount I encountered the EXACT same issue and just used a washer and nut laying around to make sure it is fastened securely. I do feel the vibration in the clutch and brake pedal, although I like it, and it doesn't seem to be hurting anything.

All in all I wouldn't worry about it, just enjoy the new part.

Yeah i go with that guys comments above. I am a tech in training so the tube is a vent for the transmission...serves as a vent..what else can you expect from it. Vents out air from the transmission to allow shifting...if that were closed off or plugged air in the system could cause erratic shifting with pressures being different and all. And the vibration..have that as well, but you can use a zip tie to secure it down onto the frame itself. And on the radiator support with the Fujita CAI you should have 2 vibration dampeners that came with it. Use the other nut and washer from the 2nd one...kinda funny how they give you one for one, but its actually put on there. So you kinda have to put 2 and 2 together...haha. Just use the other washer and nut from the 2nd one and put it on the other side. You should have no problems from there.

YAY!!!

Installed my fujita this past weekend. Didn't even take time to notice where that little extra tube went. I wasn't ever connected to ANYTHING in the first place for me. I caught on with the second vibration mount having the nut and washer the first one needed. I'll put up pics and details of my install asap.

I got a noggin scratcher for you guys. After installation my driver's side window will no longer auto-up but will still auto-down.

yeah i just installed the AEM and haven't had any vibrations or weird things happening, might mount differently im not sure. but i was boggled by the extra hose, i knew what it was but didn't' remember where it went lol, but this thread helped me realize it didn't go anywhere from the beginning.

in regards to the window issue, its because you disconnected the battery im sure but i stole this from the FAQ, i had the problem before when i installed my touchscreen so i remembered:

This is a very common problem with a very simple fix. This is caused by disconnecting the battery so if after you install a new head unit and your window wont roll up automatically there isn't a problem. To fix roll your window down all the way, then hole the up button letting the window reach the top, but don't let go continue holding for 10 more seconds. Roll the window down and test if it rolls up automatically, if not try again.
