INTAKE INSTALL ISSUES!!!!!! HELP PLZ

Ok so I installed a spectre kit for my tubing on my 12 versa s hatch well I unlpugged everything like the you tube video and I had to cut my own mas air flow sensor well installed tubing and cone filrter and turned on my car and bam Boggs down after two second and I took everything back off then re installed facotry stuff and it idled fine no issues but now have a check engine light? Idk why the car Boggs down with the filter on and even with the after market tubing and no filter it stil Boggs down but works fine with facotry stuff it shouldn't be mass airflow could it? Do I need a different filter and tubing? I can't afford the 175$ and up filters on line help would be awesome
