folks

somehow, my intake hose that goes from the airbox to the throttle body (TB) is completely ripped at the TB. i'm looking for replacement so i was wondering if the Z-tube is a good replacement part or should i go OEM? more important, will the Z Tube fit from the airbox to the TB? ANyone has done this please chime in. Thanks

Best = OEM airbox + Z-Tube > TB. You're right on the money. Go for it. Ran that on my M35x and loved it.

so you're recommending the Stillen Z tube for G35 something like this here website?

https://www.stillen.com/stillen-2003-20 ... i-g35.html

the problem i see is Stillen said it doesn't come with the coupler - it's the coupler to the TB that is torn so do i need to ask them to sell me the coupler separately?

thanks

talked to stillen people - not impress at their customer service. for those who's looking to buy this tube - basically you're paying 75 bucks for a piece of plastic that you still need to buy the couplers for.

seems like BERK has something to offer too see below - anyone used this on their M35?

I got it from EBay. Came with a nice coupler. This was like 3 years ago though.

Hit me up! I'm in CT now remember

I still have my Z tube and other goodies from my M (it's stored in my garage)...You can use your OEM couplers - that's what I used if I recall....otherwise, Pepboys or autozone has couplers... 3- 4" is needed.

You can get it cheaper on EBay. Here is the link.

And now that I remember, yes, I used aftermarket couplers (actually, the shop I had my suspension done at had some HIGH quality ones that they cut to size for me and gave to me.

Question: Why do the listings I see for the Z-tube on Amazon and E-bay both say they don't fit the M35? Clearly you guys have all done this, was there any modification involved? The listings I've seen say it fits the G and FX, but not the M

Just wasn't designed for this car, so it's not recognized as fitting. I did not have to make any changes.

CPJ LB - just texted you - i'm going to be back later this week so i'll call you when i'm back in town.

Ilyakol - the problem with the Z tube is that it required me to use my OEM hoses/coupler. the problem is my OEM hoses are all ripped which is why i need to replace it. I'm trying to buy the dam BERK BT1403 but no one has it in stock.

Yes, I know, that's why I made the switch too. I got couplers from a local shop (nice high quality ones).
