Thanks for the info. The old gaskets were hard and broke in several pieces when I pulled the intake.
This project is taking a little (a lot) longer than anticipated. I guess I'm getting too old.
It seems Nissan has nice flat surfaces. I worry (probably needlessly) about that one coolant passage that goes from the manifold to the head. A leak there would set me back some time.
If I did use gasket sealer, I'd probably get it over everything. So I'd rather not go there unless it was necessary.
