I've been recently thinking of custom modding my Fujita Intake to make it a CAI. While searching for pipes, etc, I came across this on e-bay. Maybe I can use this and maybe move the battery location around to extend it alway from hot air...What do you guys think about it?

You could probably make that with 20 dollars worth of parts from Home Dept and an air filter...

yeah I would probably say don't but I think you need to move the battery the whole point of that flexible tube, is to give you the flexibility you need to put it near the wheel well. That being said I do not think that's going to do a whole lot. I think if the first problem is that flexible tubes ridges would create a lot of vortices and increase turbulent flow, and reduce flow of air going into the engine. If I am not mistaken but the whole point of intake is to increase the air flow to the engine.

X2

It doesn't matter how cold the air is that you're sucking in if it's having to travel through a pipe with those kinds of ridges.

Whoever thought of this intake is almost a brilliant as the guy that sells resistors as "performance" chips. I wonder which one of them has a better profit margin on their "products".
