Is there an aftermarket intake made for the KA24E, or am I stuck with the stock ECCS?

Note: I searched this topic and found nothing...

once i get my 240 (soon) ill be offering a full intake kit. i can almost guarantee it will be better than anything on the market... for roughly 90 bucks with filter.

if you dont mind it looking ghetto, you can make your own from stock 90deg and 94 degree rubber bends and steel pipe... i kinda prefer fully welded stuff tho.

LCM is one of the few companies making them. Each one is custom made for the application, and the prices begin at $375.

most are being done with nitrous jackets for a multi port wet shot (not dirrect port) and run about $500 due to the extra bungs and tubing. The dirrect port manifolds are running right at $550

Hey aries, werent you talking about manufacturing sheet metal intake manifolds for KA motors a while back? what happened to that, are you still going to produce them or are you working on other projects? It would really help out us NA guys

if you're mathmatically inclined.. its pretty easy to make an intake manifold.. it wont be pretty, but it'll definately be fully functional. you can exhaust pipe for the penulem (sp), and mild gauge steel for the runners. flanges can be bought online for like $40-60. chop it up and have someone weld it. the hard part is creating it to be the correct volume and length.

hmmm...might have to take on that intake building project, but it probably won't be soon...already am planning to build my own head...at this rate I should build my own engine!

damn...why do i get all this negative feedback...people must not think i'm capable of pulling this off...put it this way, i know that if you want to make a lot of horsepower out of a NA engine, head work is the way to go...besides, we currently pull 320 HP out of our 2-valve 1500cc street bike engines...

what street bike is that? i thought the haiyabusa (sp) was the fastest one you could get, and its only rated at just above 185 horsepower...

actually its a drag bike, but the engine is some what based on the hyabusa engine...its a generic block, but after that its straight performance parts...and we make our own heads...we run in the Pro Stock Bike class in the NHRA...currently, after three races, our bikes are #2 and #3 in points, and our #2 bike is 4 points behind the current points leader...you can check out both the riders sites at http://www.angelleracing.com or http://www.antronbrown.com

but I do know a guy that is getting 280 HP out of a hyabusa running straight engine, he did his own head work and put tons of other stuff into it...runs 7.90s in the quater...
