This might seem like an odd thread, but i want some data about different intake air filters. Opinions are nice, but im asking for tested results. I have seen the thread about K&N filters being pretty bad, and am curious if there are any other tests out there that try out the leading brands. AEM, HKS, ect

I am looking at AEM's dry filter at the moment, vs's honeycombed foam styles. Anyone who could turn me onto a sight that has data from testing these intakes would be greatly appreciated.

This thread is NOT about HP, its about what a filter is designed to do, and whos does it best.

I think there are some threads floating around with filter tests. If I remember correctly Apexi' filter had the most hp gain as well as the best filtration. Ill see if i can find it.

Just found this which i think was brought up in threadshttp://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/filters_test/2/Take from it what you will.

Ah thats a helpful thread.

The apexi's are realy damned expencive though. Cant find any tests on AEM's dryflow filters, i guess they are pretty new. They are about 35-45$ cheaper than Apexi's, and are the same basic filter type. (non oiled, mesh type filter)
