soo i finally got the car to fired up.but im having some intake backfire every time i rev pass 3k. im hearing like a sucking sounds and some bogging off the clutch.I drove the car abit on my block and thing doesnt feel like the motor i pulled a few months back.also in order to keep the car on i had to set my idle to 1500rpm and it still wants to die on me.Ima gona review the fsm and see whats up.I really new this car to run perfect

Im thinking its a timing issuefuel rail isnt sitting on the manifold maybeor a ghost is haunting my car

my worst fear is bend vavles:icon_down:or failed at swapping in this motor

Yea i set mine at TDS and turned the CAS to the point where the FSM said but when you push it in it always turns so i had mine of there and the intake was backfireing also but did not drive the car cuase it wasne running good! messed with the CAS and got it to run like a champ...

Probably timing of some sort... ignition or valve.

Bent valves would suck the big one... it's happened to me, and its not fun.

yea 100% a timing&maf issue i move it back 1 tooth and the intake backfire stopped, unplgged the maf and car idle is ok,just lil bit of exhast backfire im running on open headers on 93octane.Maybe if i set it back 1 more tooth she' should be fine.

Ok but once i plug it in the maf crap turns right off,im gona get another maf and see what happens.

also there only 3-4 vaccum linefuel regbrake booster and pcv valve to the the manitheres another but it plugged tight

My ka was backfirin through the intake, it turned out to be a huge intake leak between the upper and lower parts of the intake mani.

if you removed the distributor, you could have put it back in 180 out, meaning your firing during intake, instead of exhaust.

yea i did the backfiring thru the intake has stopped, small bit of exhaust but nothing crazy.IM running open headers till i can get this car running right to take it to be welded with the exhaust.

any thoughtw about the maf messing up my idle??or choking the motor??
