intake and check engine light

haven't installed my injen intake that will be here on thursday. is it a for sure thing the check engine light is going to come on permanently? what's the fix for this problem if this is true?

In the wake of the "Intake Chaos" threads here....another intake thread!

I seriously doubt that the sensor will come on permanently. Haven't heard other members complaining about this. If so, perhaps you will need to do a MAF reset. I don't think the sensor will come on though, as long as you have everything correctly installed/setup.

TO ANY MOD ON THESE FORUMS: How about a separate thread just for intakes...seems as though we need one right about now.

No, your light will not come on, but if it does, all you have to do is drive and the car will adjust itself for the increase in air volume.
