So I know i want an intake, because im lookin to add to the sexy tone my car puts out now with my nismo exhaust ;) I've had my heart set on the K&N for a while now and was getting pretty close to ordering one, but then i got offered a used Weapon-R intake for about $100 vs the K&N at $255. So what im trying to figure out is if the K&N is worth the extra money, or if I should jump on the Weapon-R and say that an intake's an intake? In terms of sound, which would be nicer and just be a better part overall, IYO? Thanks in advance.

all an intake is is piping... It comes down to how the bends are, how many coupling sections there are and if it is true CAI or just short ram.

IMO Get whatever is cheapest and then put a good filter on it.

I got offered that weapon r as well. I did some research and it is the same price as k and n new. I just paid 150 dollars on my car and cant afford it right now. If I were you I would hop all over that weapon r!

Aiyt cool, thanks guys, i think ima jump on that. Would you guys suggest i keep the weapon r's foam filter or just buy a k&N filter to go on the end but keep the weapon-r piping?

Does this not count as CAI?

Nope, doesn't count. It's still a short-ram intake.
