How is the insurence on a 93ish 240SX? Is it REAL bad, or is it ok?

Depends on ALOT of factors, the biggest being your insurance company. Some things mine look at are the safety options the car has (airbags) and also the retail value, etc. My insurance went down when I bought my 1990 240SX, I went from a 1997 civic.

It also depends if you have just one car on the policy. Your driving record, safetly equipment on the car, value, if you have other policies with that insurance company, etc.

I pay about $300 a year for my '92, but I have a clean record, renters insurance through them, and a multi-car discount.

To give you an example. Me: 2 claimed accidents. 1 ticket. No collision coverage. 20 year old male. base coverage. 170 a monthThey give you cheaper rates if you let them automatically deduct it out of your checking account. Some people dont like this, but its less for me to remember every month, and i saved about 100 bucks on my 6 month premium. . .

Yes, that IS a little much... I can't see mine being too much, I'll probably be under my parent's insurance for a year or two...

Just be happy you don't live in Jersey. We have the highest insurance rates in the entire country. Everything is under my dad's name and I'm still paying 1600 a year, for just liability (which scares me considering where I live and the amount of cars stolen each week from my town). Jersey sucks as far as anything dealing with cars goes.

APEXi240 is right. NJ has the highest insurance rates in the country, by far. When I moved from NJ to PA, my insurance bill in PA for 3 cars and my house was less than what I paid to insure just 2 cars in NJ.

AwWwWw! Look at my location <-.

I knew Jersey sucks with car stuff (hence the location rant) but I was hoping they'd go easy on insurence... oh well. It would've been about $3,000 a year if my sister got a new VW cabrio, lol.
