hey, i have a little question about insurance. I just finished my swap in my car and i was wondering how many people swap their insurance over or should i even bother to change it from the KA to the SR. As of now the car is not insured because i have been building it for a lil bit now. I was going to insure and register it in FL if that helps any. Thanks

i dunno how it is over in fl, but in CA to reg the car you have to smog it.... and if you have a swap you better know a "good" smog place

Its not really a question of being street legal. I spoke with a geico representative and I was told that they wouldnt be able to insure me because of the turbo on the SR20. So you are thinking, well if I tell them its the stock KA24 and not the SR20 ill be fine. What happens when you need to make a claim and an insurance inspector comes to check out the situation and then sees that you have a turbocharged vehicle ( and they can tell the difference if it is or not). Your insurance will most likely be voided and your claim thrown out the window. Some food for thought!
