Does insurance suck on 240sx's for guys under 25, like most cars? I wouldn't think it would be too bad, with the 4 cyl and all.

I went from an old people's buick lesabre, which is like an armored tank, to driving a 91 5spd fastback(red if that makes any difference, so i've heard), and they are worth the basically the same amount, and my insurance isn't going up at all.

Insurance is going to suck in general for most males under 25. To an insurance company, the 240sx is not considered a sports car, is not turbocharged, and is not prized among car thieves, (like a Honda Accord). So you're not going to pay a premium because its a 240sx. Regards

would/will suck for me, like $200 a month, but i'm 16 and it would be my first car. RWD, and small.

I am 22 (male), paying 85 a month for my 91 hatch 5spd, no ABSI have basic and bodily injury for my coverage.I think for another 25 or 45 a month I could be having Full coverage, but I can't quite afford that yet ;)

being a fulltime student, I can't really manage having a FULL time job just yet, but I think I am going to have to.Bills are getting out of hand.

I have all of ONE ticket (speeding, 3 years ago) to my name, zero points on my license.no accidents.

I am will Allstate and in FL.

I'm 23 and my 95 240 sx le is $125/month. My 93 Civic SI was $175/month. That's with a red light ticket and 2 break-in's on my Civic. Oh, that's Canadian funds.

If anyone is in high school, college, or just graduated either, check with some insurance companies and ask to see if they have any kind of student/honor student discount. I know that Allstate Insurance gives a pretty good discount for students that have a B (i think) or better average.

Take a defensive driving class, it is about 10% off insurance here, and takes 4 points off your record. Tell your insurance company that you have automatic seatbelts (s13). Install a security system -- Just a few ideas.
