Alright,

Lets say I were to buy a car today. If in the past I was covered under my parents policy (and am secondary on both their cars), would I be covered under my "new" car until we have time to make a policy...

We have indiana farmers mutual insurance..... http://www.indianafarmers.com

All you have to do is call and say you want to add a car to the policy.

Most companies won't take changes to the policy from anyone other than a named insured (or, at least, they shouldn't). You could give it a shot, though.

Also, because of insurable interest, many companies won't add a vehicle that isn't at least partially titled and registered to the named insureds (your parents).

How are you going to title the car?

We're going to pay cash and will obtain the title at the Point of Sale.

This is what I did with the Z from the dealership, the Q from Florida, 240 from Florida etc etc.Immediate coverage over the phone just add to existing policy.

Immediate coverage is acceptable by most insurance companies. I think what bad was saying is that, like most accounts, there are authorized persons. Even though you and/or your car may be covered under your parent's policy you might not be an authorized person to make changes. But in your case, with your parent's there, they can call and make the changes. Also understand that if your car is covered and the policy is labeled as insured under all driver's, this should insure your parents don't receive a huge hike in price. If you are added as an individual it might. And that's just general info for everyone.
