insurance question

Odd question, but i was wondering if any of you knew a good insurance company (good = lowest rates) in the Seattle, WA area. I plan to research, just thought id ask, see if anyone had any suggestions off the top of their head. Oh, and i have a....less than clean record :P Thanks guys

geico saves you 10% or more on car insurance.

I'm in Seattle and I use Pemco. They have good rates and are really good at dealing with claims and such. Although they're hard to get into unless you have a good driving record. I got on with them through my parents. But if I were you I'd try them first.

There are so many factors that go in to establishing a rate for a given drive, that it's hard to just recommend a company.

I'd find an independent agent (one that deals with many different insurance companies, not just one) and ask them to give you a few quotes.

Forget trying anyone first. Just start getting quotes. Ask abot the available coverages and all the prices for them. An independent agent can be helpful as they do have several insurance companies they can quote you with. But I'd talk to a few different agents since they do not sell policies for all insurance companies.
