Liability only, not worth hiking up premiums to completely cover a car worth 2k ( my car that is ).

Also, make sure you don't tell them about your motor and mods. They will most likely not insure you at all being that it's not street legal.

I pay a hefty premium, but I just turned 24 and have a horrendus driving record. If your record is good, it shouldn't be to bad. Can't speak for Florida rates though, I live in MD. I'd imagine Florida is more expensive just do to the nature of the area.

Key is SHOP Around. Even if it takes awhile. I have gotten quotes with HUNDREDS of dollars in difference between some companies. I reccomend at least 3 places for you to get quotes. If you don't, you could be losing a lot of money.

I got my car appraised at $11,750, then submitted that to my insurance on full coverage. The insurance company saw my car in person, I was thinking it was going to be alot, but only 1300 a year. Its well worth it.

If you or either of your parents were in the armed services, get USAA!! Honestly, insurance companies call and ask what I have- once I tell them I have USAA they apologise and say they cant do any better than that.

I pay $600 a YEAR for liability and comprehensive (theft, glass, vandalism, etc).

we have USAA (dads in navy) and we just called up AAA and got a quote... USAA= 4800 for 3 people, 240, chrystler, jeep, ducati, honda goldwing and harley,

AAA= 5600 that full covrage just like fiz... but AAA has less covrage by like 50,000 per crash...

Liability, maybe fire and theft. But Comprehensive and Collision is a waste of money for an '89 sx. I'd get a few quotes and see what you come up with. Good idea is to poll your family and local friends who they use and their level of satisfaction. As a teenager, it'll still be cheapest to hitch onto your parent's policy if you can. Good luck

i doubt any insurance company will give you full coverage for anything that old, when i had my 87 accord, it wasnt worth the full, since any damage to it, was worth more than the car. so go with just liability. personally, i have a 95 coupe with full coverage, but because its still a young car...
