Thanks B......between you and bunda, I guess I'm right in there.....and I'm with ya on the repairs.......its not my driving, its the craziness of others to be concerned about....and that damn winter is just around the cornerbasilikon wrote:Hey there, Denise
I recently turned 40 (just a little older than you), and my insurance is through State Farm. My rates went up when I traded in my old Saturn sedan to buy my '09 Altima Coupe 2.5S 6MT. I'm now looking at between $1000-$1100 annually for full coverage, so my rates seem to be similar to yours. I don't live in a big city, so I would have hoped that I would be paying less than this.
While I hate spending money on auto insurance, I hate having to spend money on auto repairs even more.

wow, lucky, even when I was on liability for my 96 Dodge Ram I was still paying double what you're paying for a new car! lol... I have Geico and am paying $165/month or $990 every 6 months. My friend recently told me that insurance companies now base your rate mostly upon your credit rating and not your driving record as much so I can understand it being high since my credit sucks balls.dflane39 wrote:Would love to know what peeps are paying for their insurance. During the weeks before I bought my Altima, I had some other picks for cars and would call my ins company to find out the prospective change. For starters, I was driving a 2005 Corolla S, and coming off the tailend of a ticket 3 yrs ago, Labor Day Weekend......I was paying $343/every 6mo.If I bought a Ford Fusion AWD Sport: ins increase=$40/6 moMitusbishi Ralliart: $60/6 moHyundai Genesis Coupe: $90/6 mo
My new insurance for my Altima Coupe: $150/6 mos (It was the most but SO TOTALLY worth it!)So Im paying close to $1000/year for my ins......and other than that last speeding ticket 3 years ago, no accidents, etc......and of course, over the age of 25........Im with Farmers Ins.......anyone with figures like these or do I need to find a new ins company?
Ouch Ranga, thats tough! I feel ur pain! Hell, if its based on credit rating, I want a re-eval! My credit score is over 750, considered pretty damn good.....Ranga14 wrote:

And I'm past the 25 hump. No tickets for 4 years, no wrecks, nothing, grr.
Damn fellas, you are sure making me feel better about my $493/6 mos.....sammyboy wrote:$1,900 every 6 months
Yeah it blows but i'm under 25 and with full coverage. My dad said that we have a 1 million dollar policy so incase we get into an accedent and badly hurt them we'll be covered and we wont lose our house.dflane39 wrote:
