i took the ez way lol i asked my dad if i bought a car if i could put it on his insurance. turned out win win for us both. i have a 300zx and 350z that bought and just put on his insurance it knocks my payments way down and knocked all my familys other cars down aswell. so i end up paying 263 a quarter(87 a month and comes out to 1052 a year) for my 2 cars and im 19

Nationwide - i pay roughly $85/month for the Z and $150/month for the mustang gt. I'm 23 on the 13th, live in Columbus OH, and have 1 ticket almost 2 years ago (87 in 55 in my 02 SLS that i traded in on the Z), and they totaled out an S2000 i had - my friend wrecked. S2000 was $135/month i was 21. Cadi was $105 until i was 21 then it went down to $85. All insurance is in my name, i do direct withdraw, farm bureau member, and carried over the benefits and discounts from my parents when i was under them, they've been with Nationwide for 30+ years. Doing all that brings the price down, farm bureau is like $54/year. You get a magazine and like $150/year discount on insurance (at least).

Yeah insurance on a sports car for a male under 21 is ridiculous. Try putting it in your parents name. Both car and insurance, that way its dirt cheap, and you could be listed as a secondary driver. $5k a year is crazy - thats over $400 a month in insurance. I guess if you pay cash for the car like you were saying then $400 a month is cheap. I pay $500/month on the Z and then insurance.

Versa FTW.....

OK BigMACKenzie, you and I are paying the same through the same insurance comp. But you gotta tell the man the whole story. You can't just tell him we are getting a rocking deal, without telling him the following:

OK, here's the scoop. For you to get this insurance (USAA) you or someone in your family that will co-sign for you, has to be in the Military (active or reserve) or some type of government job. I can't remember them all, but I know U.S. Mail Service is one. My insurance is actually a little less (535) but I have 0 ticket's, and 3 other cars. '05 F-250 Diesel and '08 Nissan Alt. coupe, 3.5, and a 22 Foot toy hauler - hope this helps you out, good luck in your search.

no offence but I would never recomend a Z to a 19 year old, I know I'm an old fart now but when I was young INS is why I got rid of my first Z, there is a reasor the rates are so hgih, the statistic's don't lie, you might be the exception to the rule but wehn you read "kilz" sections on many websites look at the age group thats doing the posting, insurance sucks but they set the rates usign real world results

i will not be part of a statistic i do enjoy going fast but i do it safely i alway wear a seat belt and i make sure im not goig to fast for a turn and i always stay in my lines i am the exeptin to the statistics, and u can go ahead and call me cocky for saying somthin like that but the truth is more middle aged men get in accidents and some idiot today almost hit me i was on the way to work and they almost backed up in to me. i work at a golf course in a resturant and its at the top of a hill with about a 3/4 of a mile road to the top. this road is narrow brarely can fit 2 cars on it. so i get to the top and stop behind a guy who stoped about 5 seconds ahead of me he is in a huge subran the old one its red. he stoped right at the entrance to the parking lot im in a scion xd. so i stop bout 4 feet behind him and he dosent do anything for about 30 seconds i wait i dont beep the horn or anything net thig i know revers lights come on and he is backing up and im just like what the f@*k i thing fast and realize there is no way i can back up in time pantienly he is about 2 feet away now so i start beeping the horn i must have beeped it like 30 times he finely stopped about 5 inches from me at this point i was like what the f@*k was he thinking the is no way he could turn that around bt backing up so was he gonna back up a whole 3/4 of a mile to the main road the parking lot was right there he should have just went forward and turned in the parking lot in my town there are 2 golf courses so he must have gotten confused and when to the wrong one i should have let him hit me could have got a n ew z lol moral of the story u couldent pick me out of a line of cars and say who is the more expirenced driver because i am a great driver. put im happy some guy offered me another job working as a chef at a hotel. maby ill take the job it pays 17 an hour with paid vacation.

sorry, cuffuup28 is right, it is a semi-exclusive insurance program, and yes R350Zz33 the $600 a year is on the 240 vert. I think I might qualify for a better deal when i turn 25 this summer, but im not sure how that even works. I also had no idea how many ppl here use usaa

For USAA car insurance:

- Children of USAA members. - Active-duty officers and enlisted personnel. - National Guard and Selected Reserve officers and enlisted personnel. - Officer candidates in commissioning programs (Academy, ROTC, OCS/OTS). - Former military personnel:--- If you're no longer in the military, you are eligible until you turn 35.--- If you continue to serve in the military after you turn 35, eligibility expires upon separation or retirement from the military.

Kinda funny but every time my mom calls about her policy they think she is missing numbers from it since they have had USAA since the 50's.

I'm 33, married, and have State Farm. I pay $756 annually for my insurance. I wasn't happy with the standard coverage, so I bumped it up to 100/300/100.

When I had the standard 25/50/25 my annual payment was $624.

when you get older you gain perspective, then you'll get it and yes there are lots of drivers of every age and demographic

and while you have such a great job wth such great pay, might I suggest you put some of that back rather than blow it all on insurance and payments on a car thats repidly depreciating, this is why many people live with mom and dad till they are 30

USAA here as well. not a Z but My G for full coverage is right under 600bucks a year. 5k a year? Ouch!....go buy something with back seats! a 2 seater and a 19y/o don't mix in the insurance companies eyes. You probably just got out of HS in the past year or so. If wanna take a break from college...go join the military (Air National Guard preferably for college bene's) and you could get USAA too! Unless of course Mommy and Daddy are paying for everything...then by all means, spend their money! LOL

BTW age: 30state: OKlahomastatus: single

good luck!

I got T boned by a bonehead insured by USAA years bak, they were a huge PITA to deal with, maybe they treat their customers better than the people they hit

From what I have heard they are #1 in customer service, I can def see that translating into treating everyone else like a rear end in a top hat. If you had to be nice and super helpful and smiley to all your customers all day then you got the chance to stick it to somebody insured with one of the other guys? lol

Who quoted you 5K a year? if you did it online, its entirely inaccurate. The best thing to do is call and talk to the individual offices. They can give you a better perspective. If i went by online i would be paying like $200 a month and i pay $85..... Try calling around.
