Instrument cluster goes black when lights are on in the dark?

2025 Pathfinder SV. New purchase. When I turn the lights on at dusk and after the whole instrument cluster goes dark. If I drive through deep shade in the afternoon it does it too. After I pass the shade the panel lights right up. If the light switch is on during the day it's fine. Seems to be related to the light sensor? The brightness switch works fine. Before I take it back to the dealer I'm wondering if it's a setting I missed or something?
