Instrutment Cluster needles

I got some overlays to put in my S13 with the HUD and the tack wont go over. They are inaglow cant' trim them (or can I). Do the needles come out. any Ideas Would be helpfulThankswannagofast83

You mean it won't fit pass the needle? Or the needle won't move to a certain spot because the overlay's is rubbing against the needle?

This is probably a repost, but let me give you a warning, the second you take that needle off....you will need a new cluster...or tach. Yes you can unscrew the needle off, but the Tach one seems to be VERY sensitive, if you think about how it works you can see why...and there is a good chance it will break. I took mine off very carefully, and still broke. Not sure about the trimming thing......

It won't fit past the needle. CanI cut the other end of the needle, does it help balance it, or can I trim it.
