I did an SR20DET swap with a manual transmission...all are imported...

I had an US SOHC cluster...speedometer worked..but inaccurate...like hal the actual speed was registering...and the TACH doesn't work....

I went to a junk yard and pulled out a US DOHC which had a manual transmission...plugged this one in...speedometer still was inaccurate and the TACH doesn't work?

Suggestions...comments...its really dangerous dricing around...going by ear when to shift and having to multiple the speed by two to get an ESTIMATED speed...thanks guys

You have to pull the speed sensor out of the US KA transmission and put it into the SR transmission. Then the KA24DE cluster should work just fine.

The speed sensors are the same on the SR and KA.I have a USDM dohc tach with my sr and it works fine.

also is, your temp sensor working? if its not, then there is a plug you need to check under the dash by the glove box...its a brown connector that goes right from the plug and the wires go straight to the ecu...that gives your tach and temp gauge their readouts from the ecu....and yeah, your speed sensor could be bad too, id check it...

Thread hi-jack

I did a Redtop SR last weekend and used the jdm cluster... Now my tach works but its like 1000 rpm over where it is supposed to be... I dont get it as soon as I turn the key for ignition the tach jumps up to the 1000 mark and goes from there... also my speedo is out of wack... any suggestions?
