I am trying to take out my instrument cluster to check my odometer connection, but I can't seem to get the plastic dash frame out. I already snapped it last time I tried to remove it. Any suggestions? Thanks.

drop your steering wheel column, there is i think 4 12mm or 14mm nuts you will have to remove at the base of the steering wheel, once those are loosened it should drop down to give you enough clearence space for the removal of the cluster, i did this same job about 5 months ago, to replace my old one, good luck.

i actually think its 2 12s and 2 14s. to make things faster you can just take off the ones just under the steering wheel. dont really need to do the ones farther down. but once you drop the steering column just start unscrewing the bolts that hold the bezel in place and take off the buttons ie hazard, cruise.

Here is a website with step by step instructions and pictures. Just ignore anything you don't need.

In addition to that site. A couple helpful things I've learned from repeatedly taking my car apart:

- try to remove the plastic steering column cover off (top part) b4 working on taking out the bolts. That way you can see the 2 big 14mm bolts much easier.

or

- push your seat all the way back and lie down on your back facing the top of the car, then you can remove the bolts relatively easily.

I find that having a backup cluster plastic surround is always a good idea .
