Instrument Cluster Noise

I have an 08 M35 that has a strange noise seeming to come from the instrument cluster at low rpms. When the car starts to move, up to about 2500 rpm, there is a weird noise that sounds like a bad cable on the tach or speedo. Of course, it is an electronic tach and speedo so no cable. However, the noise sounds just like I remember that from older cars. Anyone have any thinking to share?

Does it appear when driving over bumps in the road? I too have a slight rattling noise but only appears when it's very cold outside and the heat is cranked. I'm not 100% sure but I think the foam surrounding the center channel speaker shrinks and the speaker itself vibrates.

nah...bumps seem to have nothing to do with. Just rpm's. I figured out today that even sitting still it will make the noise just be revving to around 2500. Not all the time, just intermittent.
